Molton Brown spotlights latest Artists of Note edition in Avolta summer campaign

Molton Brown’s ‘Must Have Table’ in a prime location at London Heathrow Airport T2

UK. British luxury fragrance brand Molton Brown has introduced a series of ‘Must Have Tables’ with Avolta-owned World Duty Free as part of its Summer 2025 campaign to support its Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold fragrance.

The displays are live at London Stansted and London Heathrow T2 and T5 from 5 August until 3 September, coinciding with the peak summer travelling season.

The full Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold collection includes eau de parfum (EDP), bath and shower gel, body lotion, fine liquid hand wash, hand lotion, candles, aroma reeds, and aroma reed refills.

A curated selection is highlighted on the ‘Must Have Tables’, which feature a QR code customers can scan to discover more about the collection – the information is available in English, French, and German. In addition, travellers who spend £120 (US$161) receive a 7.5ml travel EDP as a gift with purchase.

First introduced in 2015, Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold was Molton Brown’s most successful fragrance in 2024.

Elaborating on its winning formula and signature note of olibanum resin, Senior Perfumer Sylvie Fischer said: “Olibanum is a beautiful fusion of sweet, woody accords with a resinous intense aspect. It’s made up of two different components: a resin and an oil. The oil adds brighter, enlivening top notes, while the resin at the heart and base leave a more intense and sensual trail.”

Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold is the latest addition to Molton Brown’s ‘Artists of Note’ series, which invites creatives to reimagine the brand’s fragrances through their respective artistic mediums, expressing “the sensorial power of scent”.

For Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold, Molton Brown chose to work with London-based multi-disciplinary artist, Karimah Hassan.

Drawing from her Welsh, Yemeni and Bangladeshi background, along with her identity as a Londoner, Hassan creates large-scale paintings and installations evoking legacy, memory, and heritage. She has collaborated with the Barbican and Burberry, and has held exhibitions in Selfridges and The Rosewood.

The Golden Bridge: Karimah Hassan’s reinterpretation of the Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold EDP

Hassan’s distinctive ‘paint out loud’ approach see her expressing the scent in a painting and poem called ‘The Golden Bridge’, with the artwork capturing rich, textured layers of golds, ambers, and burnt reds in a diptych (one single composition across two connected portraits).

“I strive for radiance through my painting and poetry; I work with layers of colour, of story, of emotion,” she noted, adding that the fragrance “makes me feel like a goddess – like I’m charging forward on a chariot”. ✈
