Montblanc has celebrated its first boutique at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport while continuing to innovate in the leathergoods category with the new NightFlight Signature Collection.
The German luxury goods house celebrated its new shop opening at Paris Charles de Gaulle T2 A in November 2012. The 50sq m store is the first Montblanc boutique at CDG.
In leathergoods product development news, Montblanc’s new NightFlight Signature Collection is made of lightweight fabric covered with PVC with black Italian calfskin leather. The collection combines the brand’s signature styling with high-resistance, branded lightweight materials, the company said.
With this range, Montblanc offers a more casual, functional and durable collection featuring wallets, cardholders and a wide range of bags.
Made from specially treated fabric, the products are designed to withstand the most demanding of daily use but remain luxurious both on the outside and within with the addition of an elegant jacquard lining.
The Montblanc Signature range celebrates Montblancʼs star emblem and branding identity. All products feature a pattern inspired by the ʻMʼ typography found on the classic Meisterstück fountain pen. The pattern also incorporates the Montblanc star. The items are crafted at Montblancʼs luxury workshop in Florence by artisans using traditional techniques.
This line is continuing to innovate by offering business, travel, and Asian-oriented functions.

Montblanc Signature Ladies collection
Following the success of the Montblanc Signature leathergoods collection for men, Montblanc has reprised the stylish, subtly branded canvas in a collection for women, Montblanc Signature Ladies, to be launched worldwide in October 2012.
For this new collection, the Signature canvas, with its emblematic “M” pattern inside the Montblanc star emblem, is reinterpreted in a stone colour, which the firm describes as an elegant neutral that will harmonise with both business and more casual wear.
The canvas is complemented by refined details in Mocha calfskin, including distinctive curved piping, which lends a subtly feminine feel to the line. Shiny ruthenium-finish hardware, notably an eye-catching Montblanc logo plate, adds the finishing touch.
As well as being stylish, the PVC-coated Signature canvas is lightweight and durable, and able to adapt to the multiple demands of womenʼs active lifestyles, the company said.
The elegant, feminine pieces include the Classic bag, with a sophisticated trapezoidal shape, and the cylindrical Boston. The more casual shoulder-carried Hobo adds a contemporary touch and enhances the feminine character of the line.
The large leathergoods selection continues with three spacious totes, all with a secure zippered closure, which can be used as a second bag for work or weekends. Additionally, three hands-free, cross-body styles – a neat envelope bag, a mini North-South bag and a roomy messenger – are designed to appeal to men as well as women.
Complementing the bags, the Montblanc Signature Ladies collection also encompasses an extensive array of small leathergoods, fulfilling all functions from travel through pocket accessories to wallets.
Among the highlights of the 11-piece line are a zippered travel wallet, which holds essential documents as well as 12 credit cards; a feminine framed wallet with a clasp coin purse; and a fun, fashionable key fob with an eye-catching leather tassel.
In selected distribution, the tassel key fob, along with a tote and a long wallet, will also be available in two different colours of leather trim: deep orange Havana and rich red Burgundy. Both are said to harmonise with the stone-coloured Signature canvas, emphasising its versatility and visual appeal.
The Montblanc Signature Ladies collection was introduced in Montblanc boutiques worldwide from November 2012.
