The Skin Caviar Luxe Cream is La Prairie’s hero launch for 2023 

Swiss skincare brand La Prairie’s positioning at the intersection of luxury and beauty is fully expressed in the revamped Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, its major launch for 2023. It is also the subject of this Moodie Davitt Spotlight Series eZine.

First released in 1987, the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream has been integral to building the reputation of the prestige skincare house that we know today. Since its first release, the formula has constantly been reimagined with each Caviar Science breakthrough. The latest iteration is the closest La Prairie has come to reaching the pinnacle of its quest to achieve timeless beauty.

As with every major launch, La Prairie is celebrating the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream with a compelling artistic collaboration.

La Prairie has once again enlisted award-winning Dutch multi-media artist Sabine Marcelis to transform the cobalt-blue jar into a limited-edition object of desire. Marcelis also created an immersive art installation called ‘The Cobalt House’, which debuted during the Art Basel event in June 2023. We present the installation in these pages.

The Macau outpost is the first-in-the-world to offer The Cobalt Cafe

To celebrate the milestone launch, La Prairie partnered with DFS Group to showcase a multi-sensorial ‘The Cobalt Outpost’ animation at T Galleria by DFS Macau, Shoppes at Four Seasons. We bring that elegant animation to life and shine a light on its impactful digital features in this edition.

Finally, we catch up with La Prairie Group Business Development Director Global Travel Retail Sabine Fagan, who talks about the innovative Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, the ethos behind La Prairie’s artistic collaborations and its focus on client immersion through its Art of Beauty lounges. She also talks about the brand’s elevation journey as it continues to blur the lines between luxury, art, science and skincare.
