Moodie Davitt STUDIO video short: “I had a dream to create my own whisky” – Harry Kartasis on the birth of Misaka

Moodie Davitt STUDIO* has produced a bi-lingual (English and Chinese) video short for Hong Kong-based Global Drinks Ltd to celebrate the global launch of Misaka, a premium Japanese whisky range officially unveiled at the TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore last month.

Already, as reported, Misaka has been listed by Avolta at its Hong Kong Duty Free Store in West Kowloon Railway Station, Hong Kong with more agreements to be revealed soon. China is a key target market for the brand.

Global Drinks Managing Director Harry Kartasis says the Misaka collection comprises seven “exceptional” whiskies. These include a 3-5 Year Old pure malt; a 12 Year Old pure malt finished in PX Sherry Oloroso casks; and a 12 Year Old pure malt finished in rare Hokkaido Mizunara (Japanese oak) casks. They are complemented by 15, 18, and 21 year blended and pure malt expressions also finished in prized Mizunara oak. 

Earlier this month, Moodie Davitt STUDIO published a longer, nine-minute film dedicated to the launch. The video short, featuring Chinese and English subtitles will be featured across The Moodie Davitt’s two WeChat platforms, our English language social media services and Global Drinks Ltd’s own accounts.
