MosquitNo’s man in Latin America, Gabriel Czemerys |
MosquitNo, the natural mosquito repellent brand, is making rapid inroads into Latin American travel retail markets.
Gabriel Czemerys, the Buenos Aires-based Commercial Director Central and Latin America for the Dutch company, reports a significant uptake by major travel retailers.
“MosquitNo is now growing its business with companies including Neutral, London Supply, Duty Free Americas Uruguay and Grupo Wisa taking on our lines now or in the near future,” Czemerys told The Moodie Report.
Attending this month’s ASUTIL 2015 congress in Panama has built a number of promising new prospects in travel retail, he confirmed.
“In the domestic markets we already have presence in 11 countries across the region, and in the last six weeks have added Bolivia, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Saint Barthélemy, as well as Canada,” he said.
Founded in 2009, MosquitNo offers four lines of repellent products that promise no harm to humans or the environment.
The lines are easy care (citronella-oil based, for personal use); gift and outdoors (based on lemon and eucalyptus oils); nanotechnology (micro-particle based in textile sprays and fabric softeners); and the newly launched cosmetics range (based on the active ingredient saltidin), including insect-repellent sun and after-sun creams and fragrances.
“It’s a family brand that has still got a lot of growth potential in travel retail, border stores and cruise ships across Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in many sectors of the domestic market,” Czemerys said.
