Motorola Mobility unveils large-scale ‘visual museum’ at Dubai Airport

UAE. Dubai International Airport is hosting a ‘visual museum’ of Motorola Mobility’s past, present and future in what is potentially the world’s longest and most extensive indoor branding project.

The 222.63m long display, which is being considered for a Guinness World Record, runs along the entire length of a corridor linking the airport’s Terminal 1 check-in area to the Dubai Duty Free retail operation in Concourse 1.

Highlights from the company’s history include the technology used during moon landing, the world’s first commercial mobile phone, the “era-defining” Motorola RAZR and the latest Motorola RAZR MAXX. The latter, at up to 17.6 hours, boasts the longest talk-time of any smartphone on the market.

Motorola Mobility Middle East & Africa Marketing Director Mahmoud Sayed Ahmed said: “This remarkable project is not only a celebration of our astonishing and accomplished history, but also a bold statement of intent for a dynamic future relentlessly driven by the spirit of invention.”

The unprecedented undertaking was executed by JCDecaux in seven days. JCDecaux Middle East Managing Director David Bourg commented: “The campaign came in with a brilliant concept and was realized through an efficient and well-coordinated execution.
