PANAMA. Motta Internacional is launching the premium energy drink 28Black into Latin America and the Caribbean starting from late April 2011.
Billed as the first premium energy drink based on the açaí berry, it is the brainchild of Luxembourg lifestyle company Calidris 28, and distributed in the Americas through the fully owned subsidiary Calidris 28 of America.

Motta Internacional will distribute 28Black throughout Central America, South America and the Caribbean, excluding the duty-paid market in Panama.
“We are working on all marketing aspects and contacting possible distributors. We already have various interested parties and will decide on those who offer the best fit and genuine interest,” commented Richard Bennett, Motta Internacional’s Buyer and Brands Manager.
In addition to retailing 28Black in its own stores, Motta will distribute it to other interested operators and concessionaires.
28Black is made from natural ingredients and is free of taurine, artificial flavours, colours, and preservatives. It promises users the energy to step out of the boundaries of a normal day, naturally.
The product design is minimalist, bold and instantly noticeable, appealing to admirers of quality and embracers of innovation and creativity.
“28Black stands for premium, in the sense of premium not being a label but the highest ambition to do things differently and better,” Curci said.
Motta Internacional will also launch 28White, the low-calore and sugar-free companion to 28Black, later in 2011.
