French cosmeceutical company Nuxe is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. It is also marking the 30th anniversary of its hero Huile Prodigieuse line, which has sold more than 30 million bottles since its launch.
To mark the milestone, Nuxe is opening its first standalone boutique in Paris, inviting customers to rediscover its product range and refreshed wellbeing experiences. The brand is also launching a new Huile Prodigieuse expression later this year.
Since its launch in 1991, Nuxe and Founder Aliza Jabès have remained committed to delivering natural, effective and sensorial beauty and wellbeing products that respect the planet.
From a small independent laboratory, Nuxe has grown to become France’s third-highest ranked dermo-cosmetics group. Nuxe debuted in the travel retail channel in 2013.
According to Global Retail Director Marion Bruimaud, Nuxe’s success in the channel was largely driven by the popularity of the Huile Prodigieuse line.
She said: “When Nuxe first entered the travel retail sector in 2013, its immediate success was also due to the innovative uniqueness of Huile Prodigieuse and the company’s natural approach to cosmetic formulations. Both appeal powerfully to travel retail customers and so we have built our own timeline of success within this channel with travel retail exclusive editions of many of our innovative and eco-responsible formulations.

“Nuxe is very much a brand for travel retail,” Bruimaud added. “I believe our innovative and eco-responsible formulations will continue to ensure that the channel remains a key buying opportunity for Nuxe lovers and all travel retail customers looking for products with environmentally responsible formulations, without the loss of the sensorial effect of sublime textures and 100% natural scents.”
Nuxe has unveiled several memorable product innovations over the years. In 1994, it released the Rêve de Miel Lip Balm which uses honey to nourish dry lips and is the top lip care product sold in French pharmacies. In 1999, Nuxe revealed the Crème Fraîche moisturising cream which combines botanical milks and a distinctive orange blossom scent to offer intense moisture.

In 2002, Nuxe opened its first spa in Rue Montorgueil in Paris and has since opened 60 new spa locations in France and around the world. Three years later, Nuxe opened its first Italian subsidiary, taking its first steps towards internationalisation. Today, Nuxe is present in over 60 countries worldwide.
In 2008, Nuxe unveiled its Nuxuriance anti-ageing range and in 2013 it launched its first sun care range, Nuxe Sun. Both Nuxuriance and Nuxe Sun have reached the top-selling positions in French pharmacies. By 2014, Nuxe Research has filed a total of 45 patents.
In 2019, Nuxe introduced Huile Prodigieuse Florale, a new pink expression for its hero product. The following year, it launched Nuxe Bio Organic, signalling a move towards organic skincare formulations and enhanced traceability.
