USA. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has teamed up with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) to launch retail and F&B concepts at Los Angeles Airport (LAX) Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Located at the West Gates of the terminal, the dining venues feature an assortment of traditional American and international cuisines.
LAWA Chief Executive Officer Justin Erbacci said: “The West Gates is one of the most modern and innovative airport concourses in the world and these new concessions are a wonderful complement to the exceptional experience our guests can expect when flying with LAX.
“In partnership with URW, we have assembled a diverse line-up of brands and created an opportunity for small and minority-owned businesses to participate in our airport concession programme.”

Making its airport debut is Chicken Guy! by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, in partnership with Earl Enterprises. It offers all-natural chicken tenders brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine and buttermilk, and infused with fresh herbs. The chicken tenders are paired with a wide selection of sauces created by Fieri himself. The restaurant is operated by JDDA Concession Management Inc.
Originally from Sapporo, globally renowned noodle restaurant Santouka has opened at the airport. It is popular for its signature Shio Ramen and specialises in tonkotsu – a pale broth made by simmering pork bones for 20 hours. This store is operated by Dome.
Operated by LAX Flying Foods, Burger King is another addition to the airport’s growing list of F&B options. It offers its famous selection of burgers and sides.
Soon to open at the Tom Bradley International Terminal is Navarre, which is known for its wide array of Spanish specialties including tapas, as well as small plates and mini sandwiches. It will offer in-store dining and grab-and-go food and drinks.

Operated by JJ Management, Navarre will feature a cosy spot for a casual pre-flight drink or meal, made from farm-fresh ingredients that reflect the Southern California dining scene. The business is 100% ACDBE (Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise)-owned.
As part of LAWA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, each concession opening in the West Gates includes at least one ACDBE-certified partner.
Certified ACDBE firms must meet eligibility standards established by the US Department of Transportation. The requirements include ownership of at least 51% by a socially or economically disadvantaged individual and management. Daily business operations should also be controlled by at least one of the socially and economically disadvantaged owners.
URW General Manager, LAX Maral Matossian added: “We are excited to deliver new retail and dining options that continue to elevate the guest experience at LAX.
“Our team, in partnership with LAWA, is dedicated to bringing experiential stores such as Lego, brand favourites including InMotion and See’s Candies, and airport firsts like TMZ to the airport. A mix of dining options cater to all guests and our newest restaurant, Navarre, will bring flavours we have not seen before.”

LAWA has extended its retail offer with the opening of stores including TMZ – a modern newsstand offering news, convenience and branded goods. Its design reflects the TMZ newsroom featuring large screens playing celebrity content.
The store sells popular candy and chocolate brands such as Haribo, Toblerone and M&M in exclusive travel-themed packaging. It is operated by WHSmith North America with ACDBE partners Nicholas & Associates and Procurement Concepts.
Owned by WHSmith North America, in partnership with ACDBE partner APW Brands, is consumer technology store InMotion. It offers lifestyle products and electronics including headphones, mobile power, Bluetooth speakers and other travel accessories.
Lego is another new retail attraction at Tom Bradley International Terminal. Its store design features walls covered in more than 200 different choices of Lego sets, including popular ranges such as Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, Lego Friends, Duplo and more.
The store is operated by WHSmith North America with ACDBE partners Nicholas & Associates and Procurement Concepts.
A classic American confectionery brand, See’s Candies will soon open its branch at the West Gates featuring more than 100 varieties of sweet treats. The store is operated by Soto & Sanchez and will feature pre-wrapped chocolate boxes, designed for gifting. ✈
