Free medication reviews and advice on giving up smoking are just some of the medical services Boots the Chemist will offer passengers travelling through London Heathrow’s new Terminal Five from March 2008. These new services are currently being trialled by the retailer in its Heathrow T3 outlet.
Boots promises to offer a ‘community pharmacist’ store in T5. The company has enlisted a dedicated team of consultant pharmacists available for advice on medical issues covering all aspects of your journey.
By teaming up with Doctorcall, Britain’s leading mobile flu vaccination specialist, the shop will provide a seasonal flu vaccination service to protect against the influenza virus. Dedicated consulting rooms will be available.
Other services on offer in T5 will include prescription dispensing, free medication reviews and a stop smoking programme.
Said BAA Retail Head of Category for Health and Beauty Catherine Peachey: “In such a fast-paced world, people look for convenience when it comes to basic medical matters such as finding time for their flu jab, picking up their prescription, and obtaining medical advice. Having your flu jab at the airport while you wait to board your flight is a service we are excited to offer passengers travelling through T5 next year.”
