No.1 Traveller Founder and CEO Phil Cameron said: “We’re introducing My Lounge because we know there is a more laid-back traveller who wants to try our award-winning service in a more informal, social setting. As Gatwick Airport continues to break new ground with the passenger experience it is a fantastic launch pad for this new product.”

London Gatwick Chief Commercial Officer Guy Stephenson commented: “London Gatwick is pleased to embrace innovation and change in being the launch location for this new lounge concept, aimed at the leisure traveller and the savvy new generation of business traveller. We strive to bring our passengers the best possible experience when they walk through our doors, and My Lounge is an example of a great product as we compete to grow, complementing the investment in passenger experience that we continue to make.”

Since Gatwick’s change of ownership in 2009, the North Terminal has seen a major transformation, including a new concourse and refreshed retail and food and beverage options.

The North Terminal is part of the transformation at Gatwick involving a £1.2 billion investment that includes the rebuilding of Pier 1, a £45 million security suite in the South Terminal as well as the airport welcoming its first scheduled A380 service from Emirates. Gatwick has committed to invest at least £100 million a year for the next seven years.
