FINLAND. The Nokia 6125, the latest mid-range mobile phone from the Finnish supplier, enables users to capture, receive and transmit audiovisual data on most telecommunication networks worldwide.
It transmits voice, text and picture data on four bands – 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz – enabling travellers to tune in to many mobile phone networks worldwide. The 900 MHz band is the standard band for digital networks. The 1800 MHz band is commonly available in Europe, Asia Pacific and Australia, while 1900 MHz is widely available in North America, Latin America and some parts of Africa.
The model also offers 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and digital music player.
Data transfer between the phone to the PC or other hardware is available using Bluetooth wireless technology, infrared and USB.
Messaging includes MMS (multimedia messaging service), instant messaging, push to talk and Nokia Xpress audio messaging.
The Macromedia Flash Player enables the phone to play rich Flash content, while the mobile email facility included in the package supports email attachments. The model also supports video ring tones.
The digital music player reads and plays formats in MP3, MP4, eAAC+ and wma (Windows Media Audio). The user can surf radio channels using Bluetooth or FM stereo. A Visual Radio is also available.
Audiovisual data can be stored in the phone’s microSD memory card.
