The Nuance Group earlier this month ran a Lindt & Sprüngli tasting event at six key sales points across Zürich Airport.
The activation, which ran over four days, saw staff from all departments of the Lindt & Sprüngli Global Duty Free team (including senior management) serve passengers a selection of Lindt chocolates.
Customers also had the opportunity to purchase several Lindt treats at a special promotional price, including Lindt Praline Masterpieces in a 430g box.

Head of Lindt & Sprüngli Global Duty Free Peter Zehnder was among those who took on the role of chocolatier at Zürich Airport. He said the promotion represented a valuable opportunity to engage with customers from a wide range of divergent cultures and backgrounds: “This event was a great way for us to get to know our customers a little better. It also meant we could find out more about what they feel about Lindt pralines, such as which are their favourites, their views on pricing, packaging or product selection, and how this varies between nationalities.
“It’s been a fantastic bonding experience for both the Lindt staff and Nuance teams at the airport, and it has enabled those of us who work at the Kilchberg offices to experience for ourselves how demanding it is to work on the shop floor at a busy airport for eight hours a day.”
Nuance Category Buyer Food Europe Lorenz Asch added: “It was not only the sales increase driven by the tastings that made it successful – it was excellent having people from the Lindt office and management teams in our stores, engaging with our customers and gaining feedback and insights on products and service. The Nuance shop staff welcomed the opportunity to meet with the Lindt team and help them to understand life at the sharp-end. We are looking forward to hosting this event again next year.”
