Nuxe, a pioneer of natural-origin cosmetology, has revealed its sustainability goals for 2025 and 2030. This includes optimising a sustainable supply chain, genetic tracing of plant assets and its plans to attain B Corp certification.
Founded 30 years ago by now President Aliza Jabès, Nuxe Group has remained committed to its eco-design approach. This encompasses every aspect of the brand’s product development journey – from formulation to packaging, distribution, consumer safety and environmental protection.

Product development aligns with the brand’s mission to achieve high standards of sustainability and environmental protection.
Over the next five years, Nuxe plans to optimise sustainability in packaging, naturalness of formulas, the three Rs (Recycle, Reduce, Reuse), sustainable management of supply chains and preservation of biodiversity.
A crucial milestone slated for 2025 involves achieving a further -20% reduction in plastic usage for packaging. Additionally, the skincare brand aims to ensure 100% traceability of its ingredients to guarantee responsible sourcing. In terms of biodiversity protection, the company intends to genetically trace 85% of the plant actives used to formulate its products.
Beyond 2025, Nuxe has set its sights on 2030 as its next significant milestone. The brand plans for 100% of its formulas to contain more than 95% natural-origin ingredients. Furthermore, the packaging will be completely recyclable, emphasising Nuxe’s commitment to minimising environmental impact.
To foster the development of sustainable supply chains, Nuxe is aiming for 100% of their botanical oils and 50% of their active ingredients to be sourced from sustainable and responsible origins.
To safeguard biodiversity, Nuxe intends to genetically trace 100% of its plant assets in collaboration with DNA Gensee. As a specialised laboratory, DNA Gensee conducts genetic analyses that guarantee the authenticity and geographic origin of the natural extracts used by Nuxe. This partnership will ensure the traceability, safety and quality of Nuxe’s ingredients, setting a high standard for the skincare industry.
Another noteworthy effort on Nuxe’s sustainability journey is its progress towards B Corp certification from B Lab, a reputable non-profit organisation established in 2006. This rigorous certification is granted to for-profit companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to societal and environmental governance and public transparency. To achieve certification, companies must score at least 80 on B Impact Assessment which measures social and environmental performance, and successfully pass the risk review process.

Nuxe International General Manager Fabienne Bravard said, “For Nuxe, committing to B Corp means embarking on a path of positive transformation which is demanding, exhilarating and more essential than ever to meet the environmental challenges of our time.
“Recent examples of our commitment to deliver against our sustainability targets are: Merveillance LIFT care products launched last year, where the quantity of plastic in the packaging was reduced by -35% and cardboard by -22%; Super Serum (10), our universal age-defying concentrate with a vegan-compliant formula is made from 95% natural origin ingredients; and the SPF products in our Nuxe 2023 Sun Collection have been formulated to respect marine life, with product formulas that have tested non-toxic for the marine ecosystem.
“Animal welfare has also always been one of our concerns. With the one exception of our Rêve de Miel range because of its natural honey ingredient, all other Nuxe products are vegetarian. They contain no animal ingredients and 90% are also vegan, formulated without ingredients or derivatives of animal origin.” ✈
