Oilily turns on the flower power

NETHERLANDS. Oililly, represented by Dufri International in global duty free outside of the Americas, appeals to the young at heart with its latest expanded accessories collection.

Dufri will be presenting the latest Oilily lines at the TFWA Asia Pacific show in May. Full of fashion, but also as practical as any bag, the latest Oilily Fruit & Flower collection of handbags, shoulder bags, evening bags, backpacks and weekenders, is available in three colours: Red, Blue and Brown. Especially for Summer 2004 two new colours will also be introduced from May onwards: Pink and Turquoise.

Since its beginnings in the Netherlands in the 1960s, Oilily has been a success with young travellers in Europe, US and Asia. It is also said to be a favourite of certain celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Michelle Pfeiffer and Yoko Ono and is sold in 45 countries.

Marieke Olsthoorn-Roosen, the wife of the founder Willem Olsthoorn, developed Oilily’s distinctive signature features of carefree designs and bright colours. She found her inspiration in various traditional costumes from different countries, including the colours of the Dutch tradition, as well as the exuberant colours of Indian saris and Korean bridal robes.

The Oilily Cosmetics line was firstly introduced in the late 1980s and in 2002 two new fragrances were added to the cosmetics range: Spanish Rose and Papillon eau de toilette.

This year Oilily will also introduce a special line of beauty products: Oilily Essential Care. This is a line of care products for hair and body. The range consists of a shampoo, shower gel, scrub, bath oil, body lotion and as absolutely top product: a perfumed satin fluid, which gives you a second skin feel. The products are packed in eye-catching velour boxes.
