Orlando buyer numbers up despite war threat

US. Buyer numbers are holding up well for the annual Duty Free Show of the Americas due to begin in Orlando, Florida next weekend – despite a strong chance that the war may begin in the Middle East before or during the event.

IAADFS executive director Michael Payne said there had been +16% increase over 2002 in buyer pre-registrations. “”While we are all keeping an eye on the situation in Iraq, the buyers have responded very positively thus far and should provide some outstanding business opportunities for those suppliers exhibiting at the show,” he commented.
