INDIA. Ospree Duty Free has partnered with Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), India’s largest commercial port operator, to develop a string of duty free shops across major Indian seaports.
Ospree Duty Free will open shops at six seaports in the first phase, starting at Mundra and Krishnapatnam. This will be followed by openings in Kattupalli and Hazira by the end of June, and Dhamra and Gangavaram by the end of July.

As reported, Mumbai Travel Retail Private Limited (MTRPL), the joint venture between Adani Airport Holdings and Flemingo Travel Retail, recently rebranded its travel retail business as Ospree Duty Free.
According to the partners, the significant expansion marks a new chapter in enhancing the shopping experience for crew and passengers, promoting tourism, and bolstering India’s maritime commerce.

The retail offer encompasses spirits, confectionery, fragrances, travel accessories and destination products across total retail space of 6,500sq ft. The seaports cater to over 600 vessels each month.
“We are thrilled to bring world-class duty-free shopping to India’s leading ports,” commented Ospree Duty Free CEO Avishek Bambii Das. “Our partnership with APSEZ allows us to provide exceptional value and convenience to international travellers and crew members.
“This initiative not only enhances the overall port experience but also aligns perfectly with our vision to expand our footprint and offer superior retail offerings. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and seamless connectivity, these ports are well-equipped to support this expansion.” ✈
