OTG and Carla Hall open new Page eatery at Reagan National Airport

USA. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport has opened the Page eatery in its Terminal A.

Page is a partnership between local chef Carla Hall, who is well known for appearances on Bravo’s ‘Top Chef’ and ABC’s ‘The Chew,’ and airport hospitality group OTG.

It aims to bring “local flair and fare to the comfort food menu,” the airport said in a statement.

The 110-seat restaurant serves up an assortment of locally inspired favourites, including a pimento cheese dip, cured ham and biscuits, Virginia she crab soup, Chesapeake oysters, vegetarian quinoa burger, lobster roll and BBQ cobb salad.

“As a proud resident of D.C. and a frequent business traveller at DCA it is so exciting for me to be a part of this project,” said Carla Hall.

“There are so many amazing culinary influences with D.C. roots and it’s fabulous that diversity and a celebration of local fare is making its way to our airport.”

Located in the middle of the boarding gate areas, Page has power outlets to allow diners to charge their devices at each seat, and iPads for ordering from a visual menu.

From the iPads passengers can also check the status of their flights, browse the web or enjoy pre-loaded apps at no charge.

The more than 75 tablets situated throughout the restaurant integrate into the customer experience using OTG’s award-winning flo software platform.

Page brings the distinctive tastes of D.C. to Reagan National’s Terminal A

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce Page to Reagan National’s Terminal A,” said Rick Blatstein, OTG CEO. “Carla Hall has been an amazing partner, and the beautiful space we’ve had to work has inspired an incredible design.”

Designed by New York innovation and design firm Icrave, Page introduces a bold, modern statement to the terminal, while harmonising with its historic architecture.

“This is a fresh new look for Terminal A at Reagan National,” said Steve Baker, Vice President of Customer and Concessions Development. “The redesign now includes an amazing chef-inspired menu and some of the latest technology to further create a world-class travelling experience for our passengers.”
Opening Page is part of a larger initiative to transform Terminal A; OTG, The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and Marketplace Development are to introduce a range of new food & drinks and retail offerings.

OTG’s partners Pleasant News and Baldi Management Group (BMG) will soon add to the dining options, with Pleasant News managing Custom Burger, Tagliare and Boars Head Deli venues and BMG having a Dunkin’ Donuts.

As reported , OTG opened the new bar concept District in Terminal A in late June.
