US. US restaurateur OTG Management has teamed up with celebrity chef Michael Schulson and Philadelphia International Airport’s master concessionaire Marketplace Philadelphia to “˜reimagine’ the Sky Asian Bistro at the airport.
The Sky Asian concept is operated by OTG and serves authentic Asian cuisine with an American twist. The new menu will feature items from Schulson’s Philadelphia-based Asian restaurant Sampan, as well as other culinary delicacies found throughout Asia, with options ranging from fresh sushi to Cantonese cuisine.
“We’re really excited to bring this fresh take on authentic Asian cuisine to Philadelphia International Airport,” said OTG Head Concept Chef Michael Coury.
“Partnering with Michael Schulson has been a great experience; the insight he has given this concept can be seen in the wonderful details of each dish.”
The restaurant’s new design features custom chandeliers, cherry blossom designs and an open kitchen format.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate Sky Asian’s redesigned home in Concourse C took place yesterday. Among the officials in attendance were Michael Schulson; Clarence LeJeune, MarketPlace Philadelphia Management President; Michael Coury, OTG Management Head Concept Chef; and Jim Tyrrell, Deputy Director of Aviation.
“Passengers now have a unique, relaxing, culinary retreat in Sky Asian’s redesigned environment,” said LeJeune. “We’re always striving to update and expand our offerings, while delivering creative food concepts to our travellers.”
