CANADA. Ottawa International Airport has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for two food & beverage outlets, on which potential partners can bid separately or together.
One is a 70sq m quick-serve beverage unit currently occupied by a Booster Juice outlet. The other is a 130sq m bar & restaurant, trading currently as Vino Volo.
For the smaller space, the airport company is seeking a beverage-led concept with a secondary takeaway/quick serve food component.
For the larger area, Ottawa Airport is seeking a bar-centric concept with a food offer.

Both locations are in the airport’s combined domestic/international holdroom. The 130sq m location is close to where most international flights (non-US) depart from.
Contracts for each unit will run for seven years with an option for a further four.
Proposals can include both locations, or be for one individual location only.
A mandatory on-site orientation session takes place on 16 September, with bids open until 30 October.
An award is expected in late Q4 this year, following which the airport company plans to engage with the winning bidder(s) on design review, with construction on the new units underway when the current terms end on 31 March 2026.
