Pandora has officially opened a 22sq m concept store in Zürich Airport in partnership with travel retailer The Nuance Group.

The latest location is part of Pandora’s plans to open approximately 195 concept stores this year.

Pandora Travel Retail Director Julian Mullins said: “We are extremely proud and excited about opening a concept store together with Nuance at this prestige location in Zürich Airport.”

The jewellery company has been growing its presence in travel retail with the announcement earlier this year that it would be sold in Finngold Oy’s two new fashion watches and jewellery stores as part of Finavia’s commercial upgrade to Helsinki Airport.

Zürich Airport sees 24.8 million passengers annually, making it an ideal store location for Pandora, which Nuance says plays a key role in its jewellery portfolio.

The airport’s 24.8 million annual passengers will be able to experience the newest Pandora concept store, which can be found on six continents

“Thanks to its innovative design, genuine craftsmanship and global appeal, it has shown tremendous potential in the recent years,” said Nuance Head of Specialty Nina Pan. “With the opening of the Pandora boutique in Zürich Airport, we will offer our passengers a complete Pandora shopping experience with a wider range and service.”

Pan added: “We also look forward to strengthening our partnership with Pandora in Europe in the future.”

Pandora operates concept stores in other European cities including London, Paris and Rome, as well as major international cities including New York, Rio de Janeiro, Moscow, Hong Kong, Sydney and Beijing.

Pandora jewellery is sold in over 70 countries on six continents worldwide through approximately 10,300 points of sale.
