SINGAPORE. Passenger traffic at Singapore Airlines rose to 1.3 million in January – an increase of +3% compared to the same month last year.
Its passenger load factor rose 2.7 percentage points year-on-year to 79.3%.
The airline’s passenger capacity was down -2.9% year-on-year in January.
The global aviation sector is reeling from a widespread and devastating IT outage that has disrupted transport, hospitals, broadcasters and other business sectors around the world. The crisis is linked to CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity giant, which says the root cause of the outage has been identified and that a fix has been deployed.
‘Open Hangar Doors’ attendees raised US$1,062 during the event, which was matched by the TRC; the total sum was presented to the charity in early June.
