PATA destinations to share growth to 2007 – 09/03/05

ASIA PACIFIC. Every destination in the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) region is predicted to post positive growth to 2007, according to soon-to-be-released forecasts by PATA’s Strategic Intelligence Centre.

In the upcoming report, Asia Pacific Tourism Forecasts 2005-2007, growth is forecasted to range from +4% (Pakistan) to +20.9% (Malaysia). The overall growth forecast to 2007 for the PATA region is +10.6%.

At the PATA@ITB Forum on 11 March 2005, PATA President and CEO Peter de Jong and PATA Director Strategic Intelligence Centre John Koldowski will present current market trends, including the boom in low-cost carriers and the ongoing tourism impacts of the tsunami, as well as more detailed forecasts for the Asia Pacific region.

Registration is not required to attend the forum, which will take place in New York 1 room, Hall 7.1a of Messe Berlin, Berlin, Germany.
