Paton’s expands travel retail portfolio with Suncoast Gold nut range

Suncoast Gold dry roasted and flavoured Australian macadamia nut products

Paton’s has introduced to global travel retail the Suncoast Gold range of dry roasted and flavoured Australian macadamia nut products.

Paton’s acquired the Suncoast Gold macadamias’ retail products business in May 2012, together with a perpetual licence to use the Suncoast Gold branding. Suncoast Gold is a specialist in Australian macadamia sourcing, cracking, dry roasting and flavouring.

The new portfolio of Suncoast Gold products to be unveiled in global travel retail features premium grade dry roasted macadamias, flavoured with either abalone, wasabi or honey, as well as a range of unsalted, sea salted and macadamia & cashew mix with sea salt varieties.

The Suncoast Gold savoury snacks are packaged in 30g flow-wrap packs for snacking on airlines or in transit at airports, and in 300g block bottom packs with reclose feature and description in five different languages (traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian and English) for international travel retail outlets.

Packaged for optimal freshness

The glossy, high quality packaging material ensures that the premium grade Australian macadamia nuts are kept at optimal freshness, the company said.

The golden Suncoast Gold logo stands out at the top of the packs, against a solid bright background specially chosen for the individual flavour variant. These elements combined ensure the new Suncoast Gold range will stand out on-shelf and make it easy for shoppers to choose their favourite flavour, noted Paton’s.

First stocks of the Suncoast Gold macadamia range will be shipped in October.
