The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to bring you the latest edition in our Pet-sonality Profile column, in association with Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
In this regular fun feature we discover more about travel retail pet-sonalities, their back stories, traits and habits, as well as offering some insights into their owners. Each pet-sonality will also be painted digitally by pets and equine artist Sami Moodie (yes, that Moodie clan).
In this edition, Barry Geoghegan, Founder and Commercial Director of Irish travel retail brand representative Duty Free Global introduces us to his silky golden retrievers, Milly and Jess.
Name + nickname: Milly (or Milser), Jess (or Jessy)
Breed: Golden retrievers
How old? Jess is eight, Milly is four
How did you meet? We drove to the midlands to collect each of them as puppies
Love at first sight? 100%. Like all puppies they are just gorgeous.
Quirky habits: Two very different dogs although of the same breed. Jess finishes her food in five seconds flat. Milly takes about ten minutes and eats when she feels like it.
Funniest and/or nicest moment? Jess doesn’t like hill walking as much as Milly so sometimes hides when we are heading out.
Milly cuddles up to our two cats Tommy and Garfield and often shares a bed with them.
Favourite trick? And treat? Like a lot of dogs they love human food more than the recognised dog food so at dinner time they are sure to be right at your feet waiting for any little scraps.
If your dogs could talk what would be their first words? Jess: “Food please”. Milly: “Cuddle please”.
Favourite airport/airline: Doglin Airport
