Want to talk about your pet subject?*If you would like to feature (with your pet) in a forthcoming edition of this regular column, please contact Colleen Morgan at Colleen@MoodieDavittReport.com |
The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to bring you the latest edition in our Pet-sonality Profile column, in association with Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
In this regular fun feature, we discover more about travel retail pet-sonalities, their back stories, traits and habits, as well as offering some insights into their owners. Each pet-sonality is also painted digitally by pets and equine artist Sami Moodie.
In this edition, we meet ARI Global Research & Insights Manager Deirdre Roache and a Cavachon called Ollie.

Name + nickname: Oliver Plunkett Pearse Roache, aka Ollie, Ollivander, Olli-plop and Ol.
Breed: Ollie is a Cavachon, which is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frisé.
How old is Ollie? He turned seven last November.
How did you meet? It was a classic meet-cute. He was a friend of my brother and our eyes locked across a crowded room. Seriously, Ollie was a present from my brother.

Love at first sight? Of course. Ollie’s beauty outside is only matched by his beauty on the inside.
Quirky habits: A fear of the colour orange, a mistrust of prams and a hoarder of socks. Ollie has also been known to fake a limp so he could visit his favourite veterinary nurse.
Funniest/nicest moment? Christmas 2016. As a puppy Ollie climbed up on the dining room table and was found helping himself to a bowl of cream.
Favourite tick? And Treat? A pasta bone when he has been good. The problem is he is always good, so he is now on a diet.

Social media account? No, Ollie likes to live in the moment and thinks people spend too much time online. This is a cover story, however. His arms are too short to take selfies.
If Ollie could talk what would his first words be? Let’s go to the park.
Favourite airport/airline? While Ollie has never left Ireland, when he travels to Dublin Airport he knows that someone he loves is coming home. He always gets so excited when he sees the terminal.

Anything else we should know? Ollie is a very sweet little lad, who was a godsend during COVID. He is kind and gentle with everyone and loves a cuddle on the sofa. If it wasn’t for his snoring, he would be close to perfect.
