SWITZERLAND. P&G Beauty has formally unveiled Boss Skin, the new men’s skincare collection from Hugo Boss. It will go on-counter from September.
The eight-sku range includes cleansing, shaving, moisturising and specialty items. It will be supported by TV and print advertising, and strong point of sale activity.
Simplicity and performance are the key concepts. All the products are presented in functional grey packaging.
The Boss Skin regime begins with the Refreshing Face Wash. There is also a complementary Smoothing Face Scrub to exfoliate and remove excess oil.
The shaving products are Performance Shave Gel and Relaxing Aftershave Balm.
Instant Moisture Gel and Revitalising Moisture Cream are the hydration options. The so-called speciality items are Perfecting Skin Serum and Reviving Eye Gel.
The Boss Skin range incorporates its own scent – described as fresh and clean – which does not linger, thereby making it ideal for use in tandem with other Boss fragrances, according to the company.
The collection was created in conjunction with dermatologist Christopher B. Harmon. He commented: “While men are more than ever concerned about taking care of their skin, they in general will not comply with over-complicated or time-consuming routines.
“The key to men’s skin care is to develop a simple, easy-to-follow daily programme that is high on performance and low on maintenance.”
