BELGIUM. The European Duty Free Consortium (EDFC) gathered 70 players to its annual golf tournament last Friday at the Spiegelven course in Genk, Belgium – an event organised in some style by retailer and wholesaler Paul Global Bonded.
The day attracted a mix of concessionaires, brand owners and distributors and agents, principally from the Benelux countries, but also from France and the UK.
The winner was Codorniu’s regional representative Maarten van Dam, with Jac Flik of Hadee second and Bert Prins of Prins Supply third. The best team comprised Jean-Paul Ghesquiers, Rob Reidel, Patrick Vorstenbosch and Cees Visser.
Paul Global Bonded’s Cees Visser said: “Congratulations to all our winners, and thank you to everyone who attended this year. I would add a special thanks to all our sponsors who continue to support this event even in times of crisis.”
