Nordic success: Pilgrim’s Classic Collection |
Danish fashion jewellery house Pilgrim has opened three new travel retail locations following a successful show at the TFWA World Exhibition in September.
Through its distribution partner, Valora Trade Travel Retail, Pilgrim is now offered at House of Ireland stores at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1 and T2 and also at Belfast City Airport.
“I am thrilled with these new locations,” said Pilgrim Travel Retail Manager Mette Rohrdanz. “Valora has already created a strong market for us in the Nordic region and now we are expanding further into the UK and Ireland, so these new listings are great for Pilgrim.
“Customers in Ireland and Northern Ireland are familiar with Pilgrim, so we are confident this will be a success and managed well by the House of Ireland and Valora teams.”
Commenting on the new deal, Valora Trade New Business Manager Mikkel Zebitz said: “Pilgrim is one of the strongest brands in fashion jewellery and we are experiencing significant growth with them in the Nordic region and now we are delighted to be launching the collection at Dublin and Belfast airports. We are working closely with the team at House of Ireland to develop these great locations and we have high expectations, as the UK and Ireland are key domestic markets for Pilgrim.”
House of Ireland, which operates a flagship store in Dublin’s centre, opened its first airport store 17 years ago and celebrated the opening of its new store at Belfast City Airport earlier this year. Known for its wide range of Irish gifts, the company also offers several European brands.
Buyer Grace Galligan explained that fashion jewellery is a popular category. “The Pilgrim Classics collection fits well into our fashion jewellery range. This is a strong category for House of Ireland and Pilgrim is an ideal price point for our outlets at both Dublin and Belfast airports.
“We are looking to develop the space dedicated to jewellery to offer a mix of Irish and European brands.”
In each of the three locations, House of Ireland has a Pilgrim rotating floor display featuring key items from the brand’s Classic collection.
