Pilgrim models a total look for Spring – 11/02/08

DENMARK. Pilgrim has unveiled its Spring 2008 collections in the jewellery, watches and sunglasses categories.

Pilgrim’s jewellery collection, with its 11 series, spans a broad range of powerful and showy lines, as well as simple, minimalistic pieces. Humour and elegance, colours and shapes in interaction are the key words.

Commenting on the new watch collection, Travel Retail Manager Annette Møller Andersen said: “When we first
introduced watches to the travel retail market in Cannes in 2006 the response was excellent. The Spring 2008
collection features 23 different watches and we know that there are many strong designs suitable for travel
retail and will be introducing these to our key locations.

“We have developed special displays for the watches in travel retail, and furthermore, the watches can be displayed next to the jewellery and sunglasses in our new glass displays, giving the retailer a complete merchandising solution to offer the complete Pilgrim range.”

On the new range of sunglasses, Møller Andersen added: “This new collection is very exciting. It is full of colour and many fashionable and trendy designs. We have seen an increase in demand for our sun collection in travel retail and we plan to increase our presence of sunglasses in key locations. The new merchandising systems we have for travel retail enable us to display sunglasses together with the jewellery collections so that the retailer can offer a complete Pilgrim range in a very attractive display.”

PILGRIM JEWELLERY FOR SPRING 2008

477 Flamingo: The warm and distant skies, the exotic nature and of course the flamingo are among the sources of inspiration for this series.

482 FlowerOne: A single, classical flower is sprinkled with Crystallized Swarovski Elements, for a classical look on a timeless chain.

476 FlowerTwo: The array of colours, shapes and flowers is designed to make this jewellery dynamic and strong.

473 Swan: Elegant and light, the inspiration comes from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale about the ugly duckling who became a beautiful swan. Each item is a part of the swan.

474 Boho Nature: Large stones such as topaz, rose quartz and amazonite intermingle with filigree patterns and Crystallized Swarovski Elements. The lines, with their diverse shape, conjure up images of the bohemian look.

480 Quirky Charm: This series joins different charms to achieve a quirky look, including a deer, sailor, bird and seal.

475 Life: The inspiration comes from the seed, whose existence slowly unfolds into the onset of life. On several items, different blooming stages can be seen.

478 Future: The style is simple, clean and elegant, with lines that shift between pronounced design and the softly rounded.

479 Nouveau: Inspired by the art nouveau wave which is characterised by its arched, asymmetrical lines based on the shapes of plants.

481 Graffiti: Depicts the sharpness and vitality of graffiti’s expression with its colour choices. The distinctive patterns and simple pendants.

Flowered by Pilgrim: This historic Pilgrim series is a design of favourites over the years. Each individual element originates from a popular series. This season it is swallows, babushkas, butterflies and flowers.

PILGRIM WATCH COLLECTION

The women’s collection is defined by classical models. The design is described as stylish and elegant with delicate details. One model does double duty as a combined bracelet and watch. Rotated, the case becomes a bracelet with floral patterns enhancing the back. A drop-shaped design has a matt finish and a strap formed from slender, rounded leather cords, while another model features an easily removable strap, which comes in an additional colour.

The firm has launched a popular design with a characteristic pattern on the dial and decorative Swarovski crystals on the bezel. As a contrast to the feminine, a slightly masculine model has a wide leather strap decorated with rivets and prominent stitching.

PILGRIM SUNGLASSES

Pilgrim’s sunglasses collection 2008 is reminiscent of the 50s, with round shapes and large frames.

Other models have a light look with simple, clean lines. Crystallized Swarovski Elements or small rivets adorn
several sunglasses on the front or temples. The crystals glisten gently in the light and create a fashionable and elegant look.

One model distinguishes itself with its chain as a substitute for temples. The chain is placed behind the ears and holds the sunglasses in place.

The colour palette is off-white, white, black, brown nuances, as well as grey and the occasional colour burst of yellow, red, green or blue.

All Pilgrim sunglasses are the result of 4-6 hours of craftsmanship, reflected in the polished finish and the frame’s fit on the wearer’s temples. They comply with all applicable European and US requirements for lenses and UV400 protection.
