Leading US nut brand Planters will introduce its portfolio of travel pack snacks at next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore (B2 A14). The brand is exhibiting for the first time through its distributor Himan Trading Company.
The tailor-made Planters range includes Dry Roasted Peanuts, Honey Roasted Peanuts and a Protein Mix (Peanuts, Redskin Peanuts, Cashews and Almonds). Planters said the new lines give retailers a range of “moreishly good nuts that offer a perfect grab-and-go and gift solution”.

Kraft Heinz Marketing Manager Travel Retail International Philippe Bernay said: “Our vision is to establish Planters as a leading brand in the travel retail market, which caters to the needs of travellers during and after their trip.
“Not only will the launch of Planters reposition nuts as a great tasting snack choice, it will also evolve the snacking category in the travel market into one that is driven by innovation and excitement through category enthusiasm and rejuvenation.”
The new range was launched into travel retail in selected European airport stores last month after brand owner Kraft Heinz revealed its plans for travel retail in December.
“The domestic snack category internationally is already in the midst of transformation driven by the growth of healthier snacking categories and the decline of traditional snacks. Planters is targeting to lead this transformation in the travel retail channel,” the brand stated.
Planters is regarded as a household name in the USA and achieved its first US$1 million sales in the UK following its July CY16 launch. The brand said it aims to replicate this success across the travel market.
The Planters launch is supported by Brand Ambassador ‘Mr Peanut’ who features on all pack formats and flavours, along with the ‘Deliciously Nut-ritious’ strap-line to highlight the range’s nutrition credentials.
