GERMANY. Porsche Design has introduced the Porsche Design Driver’s Selection Travel Collection, an ultra-light range of luggage that aims to combine design with functionality.
The collection includes the Porsche Travel System Ultralight line, AluFrame trolleys and cases, and Porsche Carfit bags.
The angular Ultralight Porsche Travel System, made of light polycarbonate, is available in 19 colours and is described as sophisticated.

To coincide with the launch of the four-door Gran Turismo car, the Porsche Travel System has been expanded to include AluFrame trolleys.
The combination of aluminium frame and polycarbonate shell makes these light and stable, the company said. Flexibly adjustable dividers with interior compartment offer convenience while packing.
Three models are offered in various sizes, which are available in the original Porsche vehicle exterior colours.
Attention to detail is also the idea behind the Porsche Carfit luggage series. Pockets for shirts and detachable storage compartments for shoes are among the features.
Products in the Carfit collection include suitcases, trolleys, flight cases, casual holdalls, garment bag and shoulder bag, made from nylon. The specially designed wheels make next to no noise and have the characteristic Carrera S rims, Porsche Design said.
The new Panamera leather series includes a travel bag designed for short trips. The brown robust cowhide lends the bag a sporty and classical charisma, the firm said. The bag is accessorised with a briefcase, wallet and credit card holder in the same colour. For women, a stylish handbag is available.
Business jackets and sunglasses
The functional Gore-Tex Comfort Mapping jacket has a modern style and comes in “powerful colours”, Porsche Design said. The brand’s innovative Comfort Mapping technology ensures that the jacket is windproof, waterproof and breathable.
The All-weather Gore-Tex business jacket offers all these features to business travellers.
The sporty, travel look is highlighted by stylish women’s sunglasses and classical men’s sunglasses from the Porsche Design Driver’s Selection. Both pairs of sunglasses offer 100% UV protection. The lenses are break-proof and have an anti-reflective coating.
