Qatar Airways’ unveils new inflight duty free magazine

The latest edition of Shopping Extravaganza features 120 new items and over 40 Qatar Airways retail exclusives

QATAR. Qatar Airways has launched its new inflight duty free magazine featuring a US$40 gift voucher offer for total purchases worth over US$200.

“˜Shopping Extravaganza’ magazine features 193 products, including over 120 new items. Of those 40 are available exclusively through Qatar Airways.

The US$40 gift voucher can be redeemed on subsequent or connecting flights, giving passengers more value for money when they buy onboard.

Time-conscious travellers will discover Emporio Armani, Aigner, Zeades, Puma and Police watches, all available for the first time onboard Qatar Airways. The watches category is among the fastest-growing sectors onboard the airline.

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “With our latest inflight duty free magazine, we are delighted to have introduced yet more exclusive items onboard, giving our passengers an even greater choice of purchases on our flights.

“We have also introduced this exciting US$40 gift voucher offer to provide added value and to further tempt our passengers to make purchases on the array of products available.”

Premium cigars also make their debut onboard Qatar Airways with a selection of fine cheroots available. The cigar offering complements the variety of leading cigarette brands already onboard.

Miniature Qatar Airways aircraft models, including the company’s flagship Boeing 777 aircraft and Airbus A330 aircraft, can also be bought inflight. They are proving highly popular as collectors’ items, the airline said.

To further improve product knowledge, Qatar Airways’ cabin crew have received training from some of the airline’s brand partners – Traveler, Dior, Al Maserve, Swiss Time and La Prairie – with trainers flying to Doha to conduct the training.

Members of Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club frequent flyer programme can continue to earn QMiles on all purchases – 2 QMiles for every US$1 spent onboard.

Shopping Extravaganza magazine is available in seat pockets onboard all Qatar Airways’ flights – and passengers can also view the entire magazine online at www.qatarairways.com.
