QATAR. Oriental and occidental style fragrances from five perfume houses will be showcased in a pop-up experience at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar this summer.
Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has teamed up with L’Oréal Luxe to create the East Meets West installation, which will feature fragrances from Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, and Viktor & Rolf.
The retail area is located in the departures concourse of the main atrium of Hamad International Airport, making it a focal point for all passengers departing from or transferring through Doha, according to QDF. Its design is inspired by the shape of the fountain at the Doha Museum of Islamic Art.
Each of the five perfume houses has its own area within the installation. Giorgio Armani will showcase Sable or and Sable fume from its Armani Privé 2015 Fashion Edition; Viktor & Rolf will display a tenth anniversary edition of its Flowerbomb fragrance; and Ralph Lauren will offer two new releases, Polo Suprême Oud and Polo Red Intense.
The pop-up shop will also provide a bottle-engraving service allowing passengers to have their name or a message added to the fragrance they purchase.
QDF Senior Vice President Keith Hunter said: “We are delighted to reveal this innovative new retail concept at Qatar Duty Free. It is a privilege to work in partnership with L’Oréal to bring this fresh new pop-up shop concept to Hamad International Airport, and we look forward to our customers enjoying the amazing selection of fragrances on offer from some of the world’s most popular perfume houses.”
