Radley ramps up focus on travel retail exclusives with Singapore debut

Leading UK handbag and accessories brand Radley will showcase its Autumn/Winter 2015 collection and introduce travel retail exclusive products for its debut at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition next month (stand Number: T11, Level 1).

Radley has a strong brand presence and premium personalised positioning in over 30 key UK airport terminals, claiming to be the best-performing accessories brand with World Duty Free Group (WDFG). It is also experiencing a growing international presence across the airport, inflight and cruise ship channels, working with key travel retail partners including WDFG, Gebr Heinemann, The Nuance Group, Aelia, Tourvest and DFASS.

Radley Travel Retail Manager Rohanne Campbell said: “We have developed new product ranges with a key focus on travel, with both travel retail and inflight exclusives. This, along with working with key strategic partners, has enabled us to grow the travel retail business across all three channels.”

On the airline front, Radley’s travel retail exclusive On Safari leather passport cover was listed on board Emirates last month. It also partnered DFASS to develop an inflight exclusive canvas tote pack which along with an inflight exclusive woolen snood are “performing well” on board Virgin, with another new canvas tote pack already ready for future listings. A new partnership with Gebr Heinemann has also been announced, with an inflight exclusive collection on board Monarch, Thomson and Thomas Cook.

Radley noted a “significant” increase in cruise ship business over the last year. Its products are available on board more than 30 cruise ships, in collaboration with key partners Nuance, Harding Brothers, Tallink, P&O Ferries and Condor.

“We are seeing the brand performing well even in locations where the Radley brand is not known in the local market due to the unique British design and our affordable luxury price points,” Campbell noted.

Radley is due to launch in Cyprus duty free in Larnaca and Paphos airports with CTC-ARI later this month.

The Autumn/ Winter 2015 collection celebrates the brand’s love of bold and blended colours. The Keats Grove range takes its name from English poet John Keats and the London road he lived on; the envelope pocket bag was inspired by his love letters. Columbia Road bags are made in hard-wearing textured Sherington leather and feature dual compartment front pockets, while Maltby Street is described as a “laid-back” range of everyday styles featuring Radley’s new supple Langton leather.
