UAE. Ray-Ban has partnered with Chalhoub Group to open its first standalone boutique at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Located in Terminal 3, the store is a showcase for Ray-Ban’s distinctive design identity and eyewear styles at the world’s busiest international airport.
It is only the second Ray-Ban store globally to offer an engraving machine capable of customising both eyewear cases and frames, giving customers an opportunity to personalise their purchases.
The 60sq m store houses several dynamic and engaging retailtainment features. These include large LED screens that flank the entrance, as well as a striking LED-covered ceiling.
Ray-Ban’s eyewear products are showcased via a backlit ‘Boxes’ wall display.
The opening of the Ray-Ban store coincides with the celebration of DXB’s 64th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Ray-Ban has launched an exclusive collection as part of its Ray-Ban Change series.
The limited edition collection features transitioning lenses that adapt to various light conditions, with each piece engraved with a number from one to 64. The frames also incorporate DXB’s signature brand colours.
The store offers a comprehensive selection of Ray-Ban’s hero eyewear styles including the Aviator, Wayfarer and Clubmaster, as well as the Ray-Ban x Scuderia Ferrari collection.
Additionally, the store features the innovative Ray-Ban Reverse collection, which introduces concave lenses designed to fit all face shapes.
Special Middle East-specific designs and limited-edition models of the Ray-Ban Reverse collection are also available, catering to both local and international shoppers.
EssilorLuxottica Chalhoub Retail General Manager Enrico Camassa commented: “We are thrilled to bring Ray-Ban’s distinctive design and innovation to Dubai International Airport, a premier travel hub and the world’s busiest airport in 2023 in terms of international traffic.
“This new store provides a memorable shopping experience for travellers, offering them the opportunity to explore Ray-Ban’s signature collections while personalising their purchases with our exclusive engraving machine. It is a true milestone for Ray-Ban in the travel retail space.”
