NETHERLANDS. Redfoot Duty Free Division has secured several new listings for its innovative folding travel and after-party shoes since the brand was launched in travel retail in September 2009.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol introduced the collection in September and sold over 1,200 pairs of the ladies’ pumps in the first six weeks, putting Redfoot in the top three best-selling shoe brands in the airport stores.
Its debut at the Travel Retail Innovations booth during the TFWA World Exhibition last October led to further listings, the brand claimed.
The Redfoot shoes can now be found at Bali Denpasar, Cairo, Dallas, Faro, Funchal, Jakarta, Lisbon, Keflafik, Milan, Oporto, Punta Delgada (Azores) and Taipei international airports. They are also available onboard easyJet, Edelweiss Air and Kingfisher Airlines and on Tallink-Silja Line ferries and Stena Line Superferries.

Redfoot CCO Global Duty Free and Inflight Trade Huibert Th Boreel said: “Redfoot pumps are terrific for the travel retail channel as a gift or a treat for your feet. They are beautifully made in a range of classy and glitzy designs from the Premium Diana model to the “˜Sex & the City’ styles. Ladies whose feet are screaming after a day in high heels can slip them on for instant relief, and they are robust enough to wear on the street.”
The shoes are made in four sizes – small European 36/37; medium 38/39, large 40/41 and extra-large 42/43 – with non-slip thermo plastic rubber soles so they can be worn indoors or out.
The recommended retail price starts from €37.95 for the textile styles. Purpose-built stands are available for display.
