Masters of Spirits will present some of the world’s rarest and most exclusive spirits, wines and Champagnes |
SINGAPORE. DFS, in partnership with Changi Airport Group, is set to present some of the world’s rarest, most exclusive and limited edition spirits, wines and Champagnes at the “˜Masters of Spirits’ event on 12 March.
The showcase will feature a selection from The Dalmore, Champagne Perrier-Jouët, Dom Pérignon, The Balvenie, Hennessy, The Macallan, Penfolds, Royal Salute, Highland Park and Rémy Martin.
The House of Rémy Martin, in particular, will be presenting three products for sale, including a carafe of Louis XIII dating back to the 1930s (pictured in our Moodie Magnifier below). Valued at €50,000, the Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac Très Vieille âge Inconnu contains eaux-de-vie dating back to the mid-19th Century.
“This is the first time that the gates to the heritage of the company, founded in 1724, are being opened in such a masterful way,” the company said. “This authentic carafe, certified by the House of Rémy Martin’s cellar master, Pierrette Trichet, truly incarnates the soul of Louis XIII, its ancestral brand, the art of its successive cellar-masters, its quintessentially French concept of luxury.”
The carafe, numbered 718, has been created from a series of decanters that were served as part of a royal banquet in 1938 at the Château de Versailles in the presence of His Majesty King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The crystal carafe is presented in a full-grain leather and rare wood box set.
In addition to this one-of-a-kind item, the House of Rémy Martin will offer for sale two of the last remaining carafes of Louis XIII Rare Cask and one magnum decanter of Louis XIII Black Pearl.
Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail will host a dinner for 20 of the guests participating in the Master of Spirits on the eve of the event in the Sky on 57 restaurant in the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
