Rémy Martin shows Extra gift appeal

FRANCE. Extra, Rémy Martin’s top-end fine champagne Cognac, is available in new packaging from April 2004.

The new packaging comes in deep mahogany featuring an open-backed inner frame which moulds to the decanter and an attractive sleeve that protects the content. The decanter comes with a new heavy gilded cap. The bottle design is inspired by the ancient Egyptian hand mirror displayed at the Louvre Museum.

“Superb quality and taste are not enough in the highly competitive gifting sector,” said global duty free director Peter Sant. “Exceptional presentation is essential to highlight the intrinsic quality of the product.”

Rémy Martin Extra is a blend of eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions which have been aged for 20 to 50 years. It is available in 70cl and 35cl. The 35cl version is intended for gift or impulse purchase in travel retail.
