INDIA. Multiple retailers have been marking the eighth anniversary (12 February) of Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal 2 with special promotions.
The airport company said its retail and brand partners are offering “great deals and discounts to travellers”. It highlighted a -10% discount being offered by Flemingo-run Mumbai Duty Free – which offers a variety of products across categories including fashion, liquor, beauty, electronics and confectionery – as a part of the celebrations.
Also staging promotions at the airport are well-known Indian footwear brand Tresmode and luxury chocolate retailer Cococart, which are both offering -8% off purchases to match the number of years being marked for Terminal 2’s anniversary.
The airport company also said it is advancing plans to adopt a “complete 360-degree digital approach for airport functions which will benefit all passengers” in Terminal 2.
From self-service kiosks for passengers to check-in and self-generate baggage tags to e-gates that allow passengers to scan their boarding pass before proceeding to the security check, a variety of recent digital initiatives have been introduced at the airport.
Other touchless features for passengers have been introduced across the operations of Terminal 2 via the use of QR-code technology.
