UK. Rotary Watches has launched a new collection of precious metal watches inspired by 17th and 18th Century English clockmakers Joseph and Thomas Windmills.
The Joseph & Thomas Windmills collection of 20 precious metal classic timepieces for men and women is a celebration of the golden era of English watch making, according to the company.
The collection, which is made in England, is split into five families of four variations of strap watches and one pocket watch, all crafted using hand-wound mechanical movements.
The sterling silver, 18ct yellow and rose gold and platinum strap and pocket watches are named after Joseph & Thomas Windmills, a London-based family watchmaking business which operated between 1671 and 1737.

The eccentric off-set crown is a feature of each model and the entire range benefits from distinctive and quintessentially English monochrome crown designs, Rotary said.
The five families are named after historic London streets in the 17th Century watch-making district:
Throgmorton: Sterling silver and 18ct yellow gold pieces starts from £395 for the men’s and women’s sterling silver strap watches. The 18ct gold pieces retail at £1,495 each.
Threadneedle: Consists of sterling silver and 18ct yellow gold pieces. The monochrome dial features prominently among all six pieces. Prices start from £395 for the sterling silver items.
Gresham: The 18ct rose gold and platinum watches all feature hand-wound mechanical movements. The 18ct rose gold models are priced at £1,495 and the platinum models are £2,995.
Bartholomew: Comprises three men’s pieces in 18ct yellow gold, 18ct rose gold and platinum. The 18ct gold pieces are priced at £1,495 and the platinum pieces retail at £2,995.
Milton is a sterling silver pocket watch with hand-wound mechanical movement, priced at £395.
