The Opera Gallery in Hong Kong played host to the ‘Open Your Eyes’ art event last week, where vodka bottles customised by Russian calligraphy artist Pokras Lampas were displayed.
The hand-blown bottles of the ‘ultra-premium vodka concept’ brand Royal Dragon Vodka typically come complete with a sculpted dragon inside and are presented in a unique luxury box. For the Hong Kong exhibition, the Imperial bottles were turned into real works of art by Lampas who found inspiration in the sculpted dragon and floating gold leaves.
During the event, the customised six litre Imperial bottle decorated by Lampas was auctioned for US$8,900.

The artist explained: “I would like to let my creations integrate with the bottles, generating stunning effects for the sculpted dragon and floating gold leaves. This will turn them into extraordinary pieces of art.”
Made from the ‘best winter-harvested’ rye from Lithuania, the five-times distilled smooth, premium vodka is infused with 23 carat edible gold leaf from Switzerland. Royal Dragon prides itself on its “amazing packaging” and presents the vodka in a unique “luxury box”.
Royal Dragon Vodka Founder and President Michel Morren commented: “We are excited to provide our hand-blown bottles as a creative platform for the artist.
“There are no boundaries for combining fine taste. We are always open to partnerships from different environments in order to break through boundaries while spreading the message for our ultra-premium vodka concept.”
