Safilo and Marc Jacobs renew eyewear licence agreement through to 2026

Global eyewear designer, manufacturer and distributor Safilo has announced an early renewal of its licensing agreement for Marc Jacobs-branded optical frames and sunglasses collections. The latest agreement will run until 31 December 2026.

Safilo said that the extension of the 15-year partnership with US-headquartered Marc Jacobs International strengthens its portfolio in the contemporary segment.

Safilo added that its growing interests in the luxury segment will be boosted by the launch of the Marc Jacobs Runway eyewear collection, which is due for release in January 2021.

Italian Stock Exchange-listed Safilo Group’s eyewear portfolio includes own brands such as Carrera and Polaroid and licensed brands including Dior, Jimmy Choo, Pierre Cardin and Tommy Hilfiger.
