Italian eyewear company Safilo today announced the launch of an eyewear collection in collaboration with Lebanese designer Elie Saab.
A nine-year licensing agreement will run until 2025 with the first Elie Saab eyewear collection available worldwide through a selected network of eyewear specialists and Elie Saab boutiques fom January 2017.
The Elie Saab name has already been successful extended to fragrance, through Beauté Prestige International in 2009, and is likely to be a hot property in the eyewear sector.
According to the two companies the Elie Saab collection aims to offer sophisticated designs, fine craftsmanship, intricate details, precious materials and “a lightness that is characteristic of the house”. The collections will be crafted in Italy and Japan.
