Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie to be poured in Virgin Atlantic Upper Class

Virgin Atlantic has selected Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie to serve to Upper Class passengers. The gin will also be included in the airline’s ‘Over The Horizon’ cocktail.

Pretty in pink: Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie has delicate, fresh flavours evocative of Southern France, which emulate the qualities of dry rosé wine

The pouring contract follows Virgin Atlantic having listed the gin from Salcombe Distilling Co. in its onboard duty free offering earlier this year. The gin is also available in Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses in the UK and USA.

Salcombe Distilling Co. Co-Founder Angus Lugsdin said: “To be selected by Virgin Atlantic to form part of their pouring service in Upper Class reflects the outstanding quality of this gin.

“A huge amount of care was taken to create an elegant spirit which really stands out in the crowded pink gin category, and we are delighted that this has been recognised in such a way.”

Virgin Atlantic passengers can also pre-order duty free Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie together with Salcombe Gin Start Point ahead of their flights.

Inspired by the Mediterranean coast, Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie has delicate, fresh flavours evocative of Southern France, which emulate the qualities of dry rosé wine. It has no added sugar, artificial colours or flavours.

The gin pays homage to the Sainte Marie lighthouse in the South of France, which marks where nineteenth century Salcombe Fruit Schooners loaded supplies of citrus fruits and herbs.

Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie received Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2020 and the SIP Awards International Spirits Competition 2020 and was Wine Enthusiasts #1 rated gin in 2021.
