BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA. Sarajevo International Airport has launched a new web-based accessibility application designed to make travel easier for passengers with reduced mobility or requiring additional assistance.
Developed under the Danova Next initiative, the platform provides detailed, easy-to-navigate information on accessible routes, ramps, lifts, assistance services and other support facilities throughout the airport.

The application, available via www.sarajevo-airport.ba, has been developed in line with European accessibility standards.
Features include easy reading modes, high-contrast options and full screen reader compatibility to ensure all users can plan and navigate their airport journey independently.
A Sarajevo International Airport spokesperson said, “This initiative marks an important step toward creating an inclusive society where everyone has the right to travel, explore and participate in public life without barriers.”

The project forms part of Sarajevo’s wider commitment to inclusive and sustainable tourism, aligning with the city’s development priorities and broader European efforts to improve transport accessibility.
Danova Next, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, has an overall objective to improve transport accessibility across air, water and urban transport in the Danube region for all disabilities. ✈
