SAUDI ARABIA. SkySales, the retail arm of Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SACC), has opened its first departures shop at Riyadh Khalid International Airport Terminal 5 (domestic). The store carries a range of watches and accessories, including travel retail exclusives.
The retailer has worked closely with International Luxury Group (ILG) EMEA to develop the offer, which features ILG brands Aigner, Police, McLaren and others.

Saudi Arabia – a place where the future has already arrived “So people started to believe and when you see something on a national scale like this, something inside you makes you want to be part of it – for me even before I joined Riyadh Airports.” |
SACC EVP – Retail Tom Byrne officially opened the shop alongside Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) EVP Commercial Abdulaziz Al-Asaker earlier this week.
Byrne said: “We are excited to be working with ILG and we will continue to bring new and exclusive shopping experiences to our customers. We are especially proud and thankful of our team who have put in a lot of hard work getting the shop ready and we are delighted that Abdulaziz Al-Asaker and his team could join us for the opening. It is important for us to be present in Riyadh Airport. It is truly a dynamic airport, and we are looking forward to unveiling more projects here soon.”
The retailer is embarking on a refurbishment of its arrival store in the terminal in the coming weeks. It noted that these projects represent “another great sign that the industry is moving on at pace from COVID”.
