Schiphol Group champions AirportCity principle

NETHERLANDS. AirportCity is the Dutch airport operator’s unique vision for how the world’s leading airports should look and function. Now the Dutch group is taking its message to an international audience.

The Schiphol Group’s consumer division has created a new concept for airports, which it calls AirportCity. The idea is to transform the airport terminal into a buzzing mini-metropolis of aviation, retail, tourist attractions, leisure activities and commercial services – creating a city within an airport.
