UK. The Scorpio Group is expanding its Aviator watch line at the TFWA World Exhibition (Stand number: Mediterranean Village P17) as a result of increased demand from customers.
New models join best sellers for inflight, while there will now be 30 different models available for ground shops through Scorpio Travel Retail Sales.
Additionally, Scorpio is introducing a new collection of Aviator accessories including leathergoods and cufflinks.
Scorpio noted that the success of Aviator lies in the combination of quality and function with style and value for money – and this is reflected in the new models on show in Cannes.
For men, chronographs are still key with new, modern styling and a variety of leather/steel strap options, e.g. the Aviator Gents World Time Pilot watch (AVW8974G76) retailing at £99. This model features a solid stainless steel case, black chronograph dial with calendar, luminous hands and hour indices. It has a rotating inner world time bezel, is water resistant to 10atm and comes with an integrated black leather strap.

Women are offered a choice of new models that focus on colour and fun. These include the AVW52567L65 Multi Function with interchangeable coloured leather straps in red, white, blue and black at £90, and AVW2355L21/22/23 Multi Function watches in Pink, White and Black/Blue at just £69.
Also new for women is the Aviator Ladies Multi Function Watch (AVW9010L62) with a brand new mechanism that allows simple and quick setting for dual time. Retailing at £90, this watch has a stainless steel case with white crystals, white MOP multi function dial with calendar, luminous hands and hour indices.
Following the introduction of Aviator sunglasses earlier this year, Scorpio is now adding a set of three pairs of cufflinks for men (£29.95) and a range of small leathergoods including wallet (£29.95), passport holder (£19.99) and travel wallet (£35).
Scorpio Group Sales Director Richard Kennedy commented: “Aviator is without a doubt one of Scorpio’s most successful brands both inflight and on the ground. However, it is important to continually refresh the range, introducing new designs, styles and functions to keep the collection modern, up to date, and attractive to the traveller.
“Based on customer feedback and request it made sense not only to increase the styles and models available, but also to expand the Aviator brand into other requested product areas such as leathergoods and cufflinks. We’re expecting both to be a big hit in 2011.”
