INDIA. Mumbai Duty Free has launched a seasonal ‘Mumbai Duty Free is Now Free’ (MDFIF) campaign designed to incentivise shopper spending and raise awareness of Indian products.
The campaign, which is running in Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport arrivals and departures stores, and is also available on the Mumbai Duty Free website, will end on 24 March.
Travellers shopping at the arrivals store are offered a MDFIF gift voucher on a minimum spend of INR7,000 (US$84.50), while those shopping in departures receive a voucher on a minimum spend of INR6,000 (US$72.40) and above.
Customers can also pre-order through the Mumbai Duty Free website for a chance to win a gift voucher.
The vouchers can be scanned, with a digital version sent to customers via email. Combined, the vouchers can total over INR30,000 (US$360), redeemable on purchases of 11 featured Indian brands including Myntra, Yatra, Tata Cliq Luxury, Saltt, Oleander Farms, Cococafe, Blade, Ixigo, Advanced Hair Studio, Eazy Diner and BQ Prime.
Mumbai Duty Free Vice President Marketing and Strategic Partnerships Amit Butani said: “Travel is back to normal, and peak travel period is just around the corner. What better way to add fun to the holiday period experience for our shoppers by providing amazing brand propositions by premium and luxe brands in the Indian market, which are unique and exquisite?”
Mumbai Duty Free noted the campaign’s strong start, with customers already using their vouchers, adding that the MDFIF platform also offers the associated brands the opportunity to increase consumer awareness.
